EIA: US biofuel capacity up in January Total U.S. operatable biofuels production capacity expanded to 22.209 billion gallons in January with gains for both renewable diesel and ethanol, according to data released by the U.S. EIA. USDA: US wood pellet exports at 632,044 metric tons in February The U.S. exported 632,043.8 metric tons of wood pellets in February, down from 637,518.4 metric tons the previous month, but up from 628,659.8 metric tons in February 2022, according to data released by the USDA on April 5. 	Bill aims to create $1 per gallon tax credit for sales of RNG Reps. Linda T. Sánchez, D-Calif., and Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., on March 30 reintroduced the Renewable Natural Gas Incentive Act, which would create a $1 per gallon tax credit for the sale of renewable natural gas (RNG) used in transportation. Vertex Energy: Renewable diesel unit mechanically complete Vertex Energy Inc. on April 4 announced the successful mechanical completion of its transformational renewable diesel unit at the company's Mobile, Alabama, refining facility. USDA maintains forecast for soybean oil use in biofuel production The USDA has maintained its forecast for 2022-’23 soybean oil use in biofuel production in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released April 11. Capstone Green Energy secures order for biogas CHP project Capstone Green Energy Corp. announced that E-Finity Distributed Generation, Capsone's distributor for the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast U.S. and Caribbean, has secured an order for a biogas-fueled Capstone C600 Signature Series microturbine. 	EIA: Densified biomass fuel sales at 940,000 tons in December The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently released data showing U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 850,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in December, with sales reaching 940,000 tons. READ MORE SHARE
Kinder Morgan: California renewable diesel hubs now in service Kinder Morgan Inc. on April 3 announced the full commercial in-service of its Southern and Northern California renewable diesel hub projects. The southern hub provides a throughput of up to 20,000 bpd, while the northern hub handles 21,000 bpd. READ MORE SHARE
