Brown signs bills extending California GHG reduction targets On Sept. 8, California Gov. Edmond Brown signed legislation strengthening the state’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by requiring the state to cut emissions to 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. READ MORE SHARE

EIA updates bioenergy forecasts in Short-Term Energy Outlook The U.S. Energy Information Administration has released the September edition of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, predicting total renewables used in the electric power sector will increase by 9.5 percent this year and 5.8 percent next year. Select stations in Finland to sell 100 percent renewable diesel Neste plans to sell 100 percent renewable diesel at select stations in Finland come January. Biome offers update of bioplastics division in half year results U.K.-based Biome Technologies has released its trading statement for the first half of 2016, reporting improved margins for its bioplastics division. KLM to operate biofuel flights out of Los Angeles KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has signed a three-year contract for the supply of sustainable biofuel in Los Angeles. The biofuel will be produced by the local biofuel refinery AltAir Fuels and supplied by SkyNRG. READ MORE SHARE

REG Geismar pays off $100 million GOZone bonds ahead of maturity REG announced the redemption in full of the $100 million GOZone bonds ahead of their 2033 maturity date.
