DVO commissions anaerobic digester installation in Pennsylvania Installation and construction are complete on a DVO Inc. anaerobic digester at Ar-Joy Farm, a dairy farm in Cochranville, Pennsylvania. This is DVO’s first installation in Pennsylvania, bringing the number of states with a DVO digester to 19. READ MORE SHARE
States to sue EPA over failure to enforce landfill gas rules A coalition led by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra and the California Air Resources board has announced plans to sue the U.S. EPA over its failure to enforce existing landfill methane regulations. READ MORE SHARE
	Court approves PES bankruptcy settlement On April 4, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware approved the U.S. EPA’s proposed settlement with Philadelphia Energy Solutions that allows the bankrupt refiner to waive a significant portion of its RVOs under the RFS. READ MORE SHARE
EIA predicts increased bioenergy capacity in 2018, 2019 The U.S. Energy Information Administration has released the April edition of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, predicting nonhydropower renewables will provide 10 percent of electricity generation this year, increasing to 11 percent in 2019. Senators ask Trump to stop EPA from misusing waiver authority On April 9, five republican senators from the Midwest sent a letter to President Trump asking him to direct the U.S. EPA to stop misusing waivers that are exempting large oil refining companies from meeting their legal obligations under the RFS. UK bioenergy capacity, generation up in 2017 The U.K. Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has released provisional 2017 energy data, reporting renewable energy generation reached a record high of 98.9 terawatt hours (TWh) last year, up 18.8 percent when compared to 2016.
