OMB reviews final rule to set 2019 RVOs under the RFS The U.S. EPA has delivered its final rule to set 2019 RVOs under the RFS, along with the 2020 RVO for biomass-based diesel, to the White House Office of Management and Budget. 	Contest on National Mall to showcase wood, pellet stoves The Wood Stove Design Challenge, an international competition to showcase innovative and clean-burning wood stoves, will begin on Nov. 9 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., according to the Alliance for Green Heat. READ MORE SHARE
LCY Chemical purchases BioAmber assets, Sarnia biorefinery LCY Biotechnology Inc., a division of Taiwan-based LCY Chemical Corp., has purchased the assets of BioAmber Inc., a bankrupt renewable chemicals company that built a biobased succinic acid plant in Sarnia, Ontario. READ MORE SHARE

Phillips 66, REG to build renewable diesel plant in Washington Phillips 66 and REG announced Nov. 1 that planning is underway for the construction of a large-scale renewable diesel plant adjacent to Phillips 66's Ferndale Refinery in Washington State. Valero announces approval of Diamond Green Diesel plant expansion Valero Energy Corp. announced Nov. 5 that its board of directors approved a project to expand the Diamond Green Diesel plant in Norco, Louisiana, to 675 million gallons per year renewable diesel production capacity. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: 700,000 tons of densified biomass fuel produced in July The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently released data showing that U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 700,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in July, with sales reaching 570,000 tons. READ MORE SHARE
Enviva to supply pellets to power plant being converted in Japan On Oct. 31, Enviva announced that off-take contract agreements with Mitsubishi Corp. are now firm. The announcement follows news released by Mitsubishi the previous day indicating construction is underway on a biomass power plant conversion in Japan. READ MORE SHARE
Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas eclipses 150-member milestone With the addition of eight new members in September and October, the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas now represents more than 150 member companies and organizations. The group started in 2011 with seven members. READ MORE SHARE
