Diamond Green Diesel receives air permit for proposed Texas plant


Darling Ingredients announced on Oct. 27 that its Diamond Green Diesel joint venture has received necessary air permits for its proposed renewable diesel plant in Port Arthur, Texas. A final investment decision is expected to be reached soon.

Neste has agreed to acquire Bunge Loders Croklaan's refinery plant located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The facility is connected to Neste's adjacent plant via pipeline and consists of a pretreatment facility, tank farm, and jetties.

RFA: CFS can help Colorado reduce GHG emissions


The Colorado Energy Office's draft Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction Roadmap recommends against the near-term implementation of a Clean Fuels Standard to help reach GHG reduction goals. The RFA, however, submitted comments in favor of a CFS.

The Port of Rotterdam on Oct. 28 announced that RWE’s Amercentrale power plant will soon be fueled with 80 percent biomass. The facility is working to convert the fifth of its six turbines from firing coal to firing wood pellets.

Southern California Gas Co. on Oct. 29 announced it is for the first time dispensing California-produced RNG at many of the natural gas fueling stations it operates across the state. The RNG is being produced by Calgren Dairy Fuels.

The DOE has announced more than $27 million in funding for 12 projects that will support the development of advanced plastics recycling technologies and new plastics that are recyclable by design. Several of the projects focus on biobased plastics.
