Natural gas vehicle industry makes RNG pledge NGVAmerica, the national organization representing the natural gas in transportation industry, has pledged that by 2030, 80 percent of NGV on-road motor fuel in the U.S. will be derived from renewable sources, rising to 100 percent by 2050. EPA: 1.69 billion RINs generated in July The U.S. EPA has released data showing 1.69 billion renewable identification numbers (RINs) were generated under the Renewable Fuel Standard in July, up from 1.63 billion RINs that were generated during the same month of last year. READ MORE SHARE
	Kinder Morgan acquires Kinetrex Energy Kinder Morgan Inc. on Aug. 20 closed its previously announced acquisition of Indianapolis-based Kinetrex Energy, a leading supplier of LNG in the Midwest and a growing player in the RNG market, from an affiliate of Parallel49 Equity for $310 million. British Columbia approves forest tenure sale for pellet project The government of British Columbia on Aug. 18 approved the transfer of a forest tenure in the Fort Nelson Timber Supply area from Canfor to Peak Fort Nelson Properties Ltd., which plans to develop a wood pellet production facility. Chevron, Brightmark expand partnership on dairy RNG fuel projects Brightmark LLC and Chevron U.S.A. Inc. have announced the second expansion of their previously announced joint venture, Brightmark RNG Holdings LLC, to own projects across the United States to produce and market dairy biomethane. CleanBay Renewables to sell bp RNG derived from poultry litter bp and CleanBay Renewables announced a 15-year agreement where bp will purchase renewable natural gas (RNG) processed from poultry litter—a mixture of manure, feathers and bedding—and sell it as fuel for the U.S. transportation sector. EPA: 59 SRE petitions now pending, down from 64 in July The U.S. EPA published updated small refinery exemption (SRE) data on Aug. 19, reporting that there are currently 59 SRE petitions pending under the Renewable Fuel Standard, down from 64 that were pending as of mid-July. READ MORE SHARE

Starwood Energy, Slate Refining partner on biorefinery project Starwood Energy Group Global Inc. and Slate Refining LLC announced Aug. 17 that they have entered into an exclusive agreement to reconfigure Slate's refinery located in Douglas, Wyoming, into a state-of-the-art renewable fuels production facility.
