The Alliance for Green Heat announced on Feb. 2 that firewood banks working with national forests sourced around 9,700 cords of firewood from federally managed lands during the 2025–2026 season—an increase of 35% over last year.
Neste Corp. on Feb. 5 released Q4, reporting that renewable sales volume were up for both the quarter and the full year 2025. The renewable diesel market improved toward the end of the year and record-high SAF sales supported profitability.

The U.S. exported 891,093.3 metric tons of wood pellets in November, up from 814,292.2 metric tons in October and 874,171.2 metric tons in November 2025, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Jan. 29.
Takuma Corp. on Jan. 22 announced Yonezawa Bioenergy LLC’s 7.1-megawatt (MW) biomass power plant in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan is now operational. Yonenawa is a joint venture between Takuma and Iwahori Construction Co. Ltd.
