Avista, a utilities company that provides electric and natural gas services to areas in Washington, Idaho and Oregon, on Sept. 3 issued a request for proposals (RFP) seeking to secure a long-term supply of renewable natural gas (RNG).
PuriFire Energy has successfully closed a £2.7 million (US$3.5 million) seed round investment. The company is developing technology to convert anaerobic digestion liquid digestate and other wet feedstocks into green methanol.
Anaergia Inc.’s, subsidiary, Anaergia Singapore Pte. Ltd., has received a letter of award from New Jeju Bio Co. Ltd. to design and build the Jeju Bio Energy Biogas Plant, a 2 MW facility planned for development in Jeju Island, South Korea.
The Washington State Conservation Commission has awarded researchers from Washington State University Tri-Cities $200,000 to test a new process for managing manure that could significantly boost biogas production.
Cepsa has undertaken its first direct supply of second-generation biofuels for the cruise industry at the Port of Barcelona. The supplied fuel contains a 24% sustainable component and has been produced from used cooking oil.
