Renewable energy company Drax has announced the donation of $20,000 to the Center for Children and Families. The 2025 fundraising efforts banked the highest dollar amount Drax has raised through its event.
Drax on Feb. 3 announced plans to adapt its organizational structure to its evolving business. The company is launching a consulting process that could result in the reduction of more than 350 employees in the U.K. and U.S.
The U.S. exported 891,093.3 metric tons of wood pellets in November, up from 814,292.2 metric tons in October and 874,171.2 metric tons in November 2025, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Jan. 29.
Takuma Corp. on Jan. 22 announced Yonezawa Bioenergy LLC’s 7.1-megawatt (MW) biomass power plant in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan is now operational. Yonenawa is a joint venture between Takuma and Iwahori Construction Co. Ltd.
SAF producer XCF Global Inc. and DevvStream Corp., a caron management and environmental asset monetization firm, on Jan. 26 announced that they have agreed to a binding term sheet to combine Southern Energy Renewables Inc. in a three-party merger.
