U.S. EPA Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation William Wehrum will leave his post at the agency at the end of June. Principal Deputy Assistant Administrator Anne Idsal will become acting assistant administrator for air and radiation.
EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler made the announcement June 26.
Wehrum has held the post of assistant administrator for air and radiation since November 2017. He previously served as acting assistant administrator for air and radiation from 2005 to 2007, and as principal deputy assistant administrator and counsel to the assistant administrator for air and radiation.
Isdal was appointed as administrator for EPA&rsquo;s Region 6 in December 2017. She had previously served as chief clerk and deputy land commissioner for the Texas General Land Office and as general counsel to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Isdal was named EPA principal deputy assistant administrator for air and radiation in March 2019.
The EPA&rsquo;s Office of Air and Radiation administers a wide range of programs, including the Renewable Fuel Standard.
