The House Committee on Agriculture on Feb. 13 released a draft Farm Bill that includes provisions that aim to expand the use of biochar and encourage growth and innovation in the biofuel, bioproducts and bioenergy industries.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration reduced its forecasts for 2026 and 2027 renewable diesel production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Feb. 10. The outlook for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production was maintained.
Novilla RNG announced on Feb. 12 that it has completed two successful operational months at its Bellevue RNG project in Berkshire, Vermont, delivering more than 20,000 MMBtu of energy to Vermont Gas’s natural gas network.
U.S. biofuel producers consumed 29.438 billion pounds of feedstock in November 2025, down approximately 2% when compared to both the previous month and November 2024, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
The USDA maintained its outlook for 2025-’26 soybean oil use in biofuel production in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released Feb. 12. The outlook for season-average soybean oil prices was also unchanged.
