Corn ethanol can achieve net-zero carbon emissions before 2050

A report released on Feb. 21 shows that new and emerging technologies and practices could help the ethanol industry achieve net-zero carbon emissions well before its current goal of 2050, according to the RFA.
Enacted in 2005 and expanded in 2007, the RFS has been a “resounding success� by any measure, the RFA told the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works in testimony submitted Feb. 16 ahead of a hearing on the RFS program.
