EPA sets date for Clean Power Plan biomass workshop

By Anna Simet | January 28, 2016

The U.S. EPA has set a date for its previously announced biomass workshop regarding its role in the Clean Power Plan.

The workshop will be held on April 7 at the EPA William J Clinton East building in Washington, D.C., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The agency is hosting the workshop as a response to interest in the topic and to support state and stakeholder efforts to incorporate bioenergy into their plans mandated under the CPP. The purpose of the event is to provide a forum where stakeholders can share successes, experiences and approaches to deploying biomass in ways that have been and can be carbon beneficial.
