Broco Energy on Dec. 1 announced that its renewable diesel pilot with the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) has officially progressed into a fully executed long-term contract. The contract begins Dec. 1.
Biomass energy sources supplied more than 9% of the U.K.’s electricity in during July, setting a new monthly record, according to the latest Electric Insights Quarterly report released by Imperial College London on Dec. 3.
The U.K. government on Nov. 24 announced it will apply a new anti-dumping duty on imports of biodiesel from China. The ad valorem duties range from $14.79% to 54.64% and will apply to biodiesel and renewable diesel. SAF is excluded.
The U.K. Trade Remedies Authority on Nov. 28 proposed new countervailing duties on U.S. renewable diesel. The agency is recommending duties be set at £257.80 to £303.56 per metric ton, which equates to approximately $1.09 to $1.29 per gallon.
XCF Global Inc. has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BGN INT US LLC to explore developing a global distribution and logistics partnership for SAF, renewable diesel, and renewable naphtha.
