Biomass research and development committee to meet in November

The U.S. Department of Energy has announced an open meeting of the Biomass Research and Development Technical Advisory Committee has been scheduled to be held Nov. 17-18 in Washington, D.C.

According to information published in the Federal Register, the purpose of the meeting is to develop advice and guidance that promotes research and development leading to the production of biobased fuels and products. The tentative agenda includes an update on USDA and DOE biomass research and development activities, an update on the Biomass Research and Development Initiative, and annual committee recommendations.
