DevvStream Corp. has signed a term sheet with Southern Energy Renewables Inc. and Frontline BioEnergy that outlines an expanded collaboration to support the development and de-risking of Southern’s planned biomass-to-fuels and chemicals platform.
Kemvera on Jan. 21 announced it has completed the process design package for its planned 50,000 metric tons per year commercial-scale plant. The company’s technology can convert ethanol into drop-in chemicals.
Dutch biomethanol producer Perpetual Next and American equipment supplier TSI celebrated their long-term collaboration on Nov. 24 with the kick-off of constructing the world's largest torrefaction reactor in Estonia.
TRE Holdings Corp. and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company Inc. have signed an MOU for a strategic business collaboration in which they will study the feasibility of using domestic woody biomass and waste to produce green methanol commercially in Japan.
The U.S. Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) announced up to $23 million in funding to support research and development (R&D) of domestic chemicals and fuels from biomass and waste resources.
