BBI requests Biomass '09 Conference abstracts

Abstracts are being accepted through Oct. 3 for the International Biomass '09 Conference and Trade Show. The conference, which is sponsored by BBI International, will be held in Portland Ore., April 28-30, 2009.

BBI International is seeking presenters on the following topics: cellulose to ethanol, bioenergy, agricultural residue feedstocks, emerging biofuels, anaerobic digestion/biogas, woody feedstocks, biobased chemicals and coproducts, biomass gasification, opportunity feedstocks, water issues for biomass utilization, project finance, as well as permitting and project implementation.

Abstracts can be submitted by creating an account at the conference Web site, www.biomassconference.com and clicking on the "Speakers" link.

According to the conference Web site, abstract topics can be an individual's idea or chosen from the recommended list, but it should be relevant and informative to the biomass utilization industry. The proposed presentation summary should be approximately 200 to 300 words presented in Microsoft Word.

In addition to submitting your abstract you will also need to create or update a speaker profile online. This profile is part of the abstract evaluation process, and will be published in the program guide if your abstract is selected for presentation.

Abstracts will be reviewed by a committee from Oct. 3 to Nov. 28. Notification letters will be sent to abstract submitters on Nov. 28. For more information on submitting your abstract or the submission process contact bucspeakers@bbiinternational.com or call 719-207-7032.
