Arvos Schmidtsche Schack LLC (“Arvos SCS”), the USA operations for the international SCS group of companies since 1956, is based near Pittsburgh in Wexford, Pennsylvania. Arvos SCS is a supplier of specialty design heat transfer & heat recovery equipment for heavy industrial and aggressive operating environments. Applications include iron & steel (and other primary metals processing), refinery, petrochemical, glass, waste incineration, gasification, and carbon black. We supply gas to gas heat exchangers and recuperators (radiant and convective, flue gas through the tubes, etc.), waste heat recovery boilers, specialty fired heaters, and specialty waste gas incineration equipment, all specifically designed for hard-to-handle applications – dirty & particulate-laden gases, extremely high temperatures, corrosive / erosive environments, reducing atmosphere, space limitations, and any other application which requires a custom-designed, non-standard equipment concept.
The sludge heat exchanger, or Komax Klean-Wall® Heat Exchanger, is mainly utilized for heating municipal sludge, FOG (Fats/Oils/Grease), or manure for aerobic/anaerobic digestion purposes. It is typically installed in a recirculation loop with a digester. Our custom sludge heat exchanger can specifically be used to heat sludge using hot water OR to reclaim heat from hot outgoing digested sludge to heat the cold incoming sludge, enhancing biogas production and assisting in producing Class A biosolids. Heating sludge to harness energy by capturing the biogas is a green practice utilized around the world in sustainable farming to capture methane gases. The biogas can be used to recover energy and generate power using a generator, and this energy can be used to power the other plant operations.
Xchanger is a leading manufacturer of custom heat exchangers and blower aftercoolers, with over 25,000 units installed worldwide. We can optimize any of our 10 standard product models to control temperature and humidity in almost any application. By making simple changes to our standard models, our Mechanical Engineers are able to provide custom designs at a fraction of the cost. We offer fin-tube and plate-fin heat exchanger surfaces, many construction materials to choose from, air-cooled and liquid-cooled designs, and explosion proof, severe duty, and inverter-duty motors. Our BG Series heat exchangers are especially relevant to the industry, as they cool and dehumidify Bio Gas streams, commonly found in landfills and digesters.
At Corrosion Monitoring Services, we have significantly advanced the technology, understanding, and approach for the inspection and repair of essential equipment such as tubular air heaters, air ducts & stacks (including rope access/high angle), heat exchangers, multi-cyclone dust collectors, evaporators, clinker coolers, and surface condensers. Corrosion Monitoring Services provides long-term operational solutions that protect the tubular air heater from erosion, corrosion, and fly ash fouling. Our inspection and repair solutions have helped hundreds of utilities and companies in other industries optimize their operational efficiency, regain capacity, and improve the performance of their pollution control systems.
Founded in 1987, IAC is a fully integrated EPC Contractor & OEM of air pollution control (APC) systems, pneumatic conveying systems, bulk storage, rotary dryers, automated controls, and dry sorbent injection systems. IAC is a truly unique EPC Contractor because the company owns and controls all necessary aspects for greenfield turnkey projects including in-house engineering, a fabrication facility, OEM, project management, a wholly owned construction company, and fast-response replacement parts/field services. IAC is a baghouse expert, but our list of capabilities and vast industry experience makes us a single source solution provider for almost any facility.
