FiberX is an agribusiness and a sustainable biobased chemical products company. It is seizing on the opportunity to upcycle corn stover, the world's largest agricultural by-product, into novel feedstocks for numerous segments of the sustainable chemicals, jet fuel, plastics and packaging industries, significantly reducing or eliminating the use of non-renewable resources such as petroleum and forest trees. Utilizing novel technology developed by Purdue University, FiberX is turning corn stover lignin into a new sustainable feedstock for the biobased, sustainable chemical products industry. By extracting cellulose, hemicellulose and depolymerized lignin, FiberX is creating "tunable” chemistries that can be used to make resins, adhesives, coatings, and a host of other products. All from sustainable and novel feedstocks.
