Genesis BioChar

Picture your soil becoming a lively ecosystem, bustling with microbial activity and essential nutrients. Genesis Biochar achieves precisely that. With a lifespan of hundreds of years in the soil, it serves as a reliable carbon sequestration method, aiding in the fight against climate change while enhancing soil fertility. When integrated into soil, Genesis Biochar resembles a sprawling city of mansions, offering ample space for life and nutrients to flourish. Its impact can be likened to the vital role coral reefs play in oceanic ecosystems. In essence, it transforms soil into a flourishing habitat conducive to robust plant growth and overall soil health. Made in Montana, Genesis Biochar is a carbon-rich, porous material created by pyrolyzing white wood forest biomass in a high-temperature, low-oxygen environment. This process produces two types of carbon: stable carbon and labile carbon. The stable carbon is highly resistant to decomposition, remaining locked in the soil for hundreds, even thousands, of years, providing long-term carbon sequestration. The labile carbon, on the other hand, is more readily broken down by soil microbes, releasing nutrients that support microbial activity and plant growth in the short term. Genesis Biochar is both BioPreferred and OMRI Listed Genesis Biochar is 100% compliant with regenerative farming and sustainable organic practices. It is both Biopreferred and OMRI Listed, making it a powerful tool for soil enhancement. It significantly improves soil fertility, boosts water retention, and acts as a reliable carbon sequestration method. Biochar helps your soil retain essential nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and potassium through its high Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), which prevents these nutrients from leaching away during rain or irrigation. By enhancing CEC, Genesis Biochar ensures that nutrients remain available to plants for longer periods, promoting healthier crops and soil. In addition to increasing Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), Genesis Biochar also increases Anion Exchange Capacity (AEC). AEC refers to the soil’s ability to retain negatively charged ions, such as nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate. By adding biochar, which has a high surface area and negatively charged particles, the soil can hold onto these essential nutrients more effectively, improving nutrient availability and retention. This increase in both CEC and AEC makes Genesis Biochar a powerful tool for improving overall soil health and ensuring that plants have access to both cations and anions for optimal growth.
