The Government of British Columbia, BC Hydro and Atlantic Power are pleased to announce a resolution that supports the continued operation of the Northwest Energy (NW Energy) biomass facility in Williams Lake.
TotalEnergies announces the commissioning of BioNorrois, its 8th biomethane production unit in France, located in Fontaine-le-Dun (Normandy). It will inject 153 GWh of biomethane per year into the natural gas transport network.

New developments for biocarbon standards will help facilitate the pace of growing commerce and carbon markets.
As of January 2025, Forisk’s wood bioenergy database tracks 387 operating and announced projects related to wood pellets, electricity, combined heat and power, liquid fuels and thermal.
OPAL Fuels Inc. on March 5 announced it has entered into five new fuel station services agreements to support customer hauling operations in Canada. OPAL Fuels will design, build, own and operate these new stations.
Mote Inc. announced on March 4 the successful first close of its Series A funding round, securing $7 million in investment led by Nella Next and Preston-Werner Ventures. The company’s technology produces energy from waste wood will sequestering CO2.
