Azure 2023 Inc. on Dec. 20 announced plans to develop an SAF production facility in Cherryvale, Kansas. The company plans to make a final investment decision on the 135 MMgy in 2025 and begin production in 2027.
Thai Airways operated its first flight using Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel on Dec. 13. A Thai Airways Boeing 777 was refueled with blended SAF at Phuket Airport in Thailand for the return flight to Bangkok International Airport.
Waga Energy, a specialist in the production of renewable natural gas (RNG) from landfill gas, and Matrec-GFL, a division of GFL Environmental Inc, have commissioned a RNG production unit at a closed landfill in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada.
