Sustainable Northwest, the Intertribal Timber Council, and the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities announced a five-year, $1.7 million award to help Tribes across the country build new markets for wood that's often left behind.
The U.S. Forest Service on Aug. 5 warded $105.5 million in wood innovation grants to 177 projects across the nation. Funded projects include those focused on biochar, bioenergy and wood pellet production.
RevaTerra, an advanced materials company engineering natural residuals into industrial-grade bioenergy products, on Nov. 11 announced the final close of an oversubscribed $1.265 million seed financing.
As the European Deforestation Regulation implementation approaches, traceability will determine continued access to the European market.
