It&rsquo;s a busy Friday for&nbsp;Biomass Magazine&nbsp;being that we go to print next week with the July issue, which is themed emissions, permitting and regulatory compliance. Lots of great on-theme news and stories in there (not to mention our exclusive quarterly Biomass Construction Update), and I&rsquo;m excited to share them with you. I&rsquo;m taking a quick break from editing to remind you all that the National Advanced Biofuel Conference and Expo kicks off a week from Monday, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
If you&rsquo;ve attended the event in the past, you know that it has been a stand-alone event. This year, however, we have colocated it with our National Fuel Ethanol Workshop &amp; Expo. It just seemed to make sense, and we think there are many who will benefit from having the events at the same place and time.
An interesting year indeed it has been for the advanced biofuel industry. We&rsquo;ve seen huge growth in the biogas-based liquid fuels sector, and we&rsquo;ve seen struggles at some of the cellulosic ethanol facilities that have come online. With the renewable fuel standard (RFS) renewable volume obligation numbers freshly released, it is perfect timing for industry stakeholders to get together and strategize, network and share information.
I&rsquo;ll be staying back to hold down the fort while the rest of the&nbsp;Biomass Magazine&nbsp;team travels to the event, but make sure to track one of them down. Introduce yourself, tell them your story, and perhaps give them a story to write home about.
