Some of the biggest names in the wood pellet industry continue to make port infrastructure investments in the southern U.S. to facilitate exportation of added tonnage from pellet mill construction or expansion projects.
California Ethanol & Power LLC was recently granted by unanimous vote a four-year extension for a sales and use tax exclusion (STE) by the Board of the California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority.
Low-carbon ethanol is an economical and proven solution for fighting global climate change, the Renewable Fuels Association told world leaders in Madrid at the U.N. Climate Change Conference, also known as COP25.
Mitsubishi Corp. on Dec. 4 announced plans to convert the Suzukawa Energy Center Ltd. to biomass. The 112-megawatt facility is currently fired with coal. The plant is expected to begin producing renewable energy from wood pellets in April 2022.

The compatibility of pipe dope associated with underground storage tank systems for ethanol blends above E10 has been a subject of controversy for many years and has been repeatedly misrepresented by those hoping to suppress market adoption of E15.
