Gevo Inc. has released its financial results for the quarter ended Sept. 30, posting revenues of $600,000 for the quarter. This is a significant reduction compared to the $17.5 million in revenue reported for the same period of last year.

University of Illinois agricultural economist Madhu Khanna developed a customizable online calculator to eliminate some of the guesswork and help farmers decide if growing biomass crops makes sense to for their farming operation.
A research paper published in the open access journal Carbon Balance and Management employs satellite data to create a method to generate sample-based inventory of forest biomass. The study uses light detection and ranging (LIDAR) height data.
